1. Scope and Who Operates Safeteed

This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, disclosed, and retained when you visit Safeteed.com, download the Android preview, or use Safeteed or Sweeper applications and associated features (together, the Services). Safeteed is the product name; the legal identity and business address of its actual operator must be confirmed before commercial launch.

The website and applications are under development. The website's server logging and APK download counting are active; some described mobile-app and community features may be optional, unfinished, or not yet available. This notice must be updated to match the actual production application, backend, SDKs, and hosting arrangements before wider distribution.

Questions and privacy requests may be sent to the contact address at the end of this Policy. This Policy supplements, but does not replace, our Terms of Service.

2. Website and Server Information

When you access our website or download a file, hosting and web-server systems can record your IP address, approximate network location derived from that IP, browser or user-agent information, requested URL, date and time, HTTP status, referring page, and related technical details. These records are used to serve content, troubleshoot errors, investigate abuse, and protect infrastructure.

Our web server maintains rotating access logs. Ordinary log rotation does not necessarily determine the retention of security events, backups, or records held by infrastructure providers. We do not guarantee a fixed deletion date for every log copy.

3. Android Downloads and Counters

When an Android APK is requested, our server may log the request and associated technical information described above. We also maintain an aggregate counter of successful APK file requests. The displayed or internal count does not reliably identify unique people, installations, or completed downloads.

Downloading an APK does not itself establish an account, but the request can still appear in server and infrastructure logs. Third-party network providers may independently process connection metadata.

4. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Device Discovery

Where enabled, scanning features can access or display available Wi-Fi or network information, local IP addresses, hostnames, open services, Bluetooth advertisements, device names, signal strengths, identifiers, and other technical observations supported by your device and operating system.

These observations can relate to other people or devices and may be personal information under applicable law. Whether any observation remains only on your device, is cached, included in diagnostic records, or sent to a server depends on the actual version and configuration of the application. Do not assume that every scan is strictly local or anonymous unless confirmed for the version you use.

You should perform scans only where you have lawful permission, and avoid submitting information about others unless needed and authorized.

5. Camera and Lens-Inspection Features

If you allow camera access, visual-inspection tools may process camera frames, image information, or reflections to help you inspect a space. Camera permission alone does not indicate that Safeteed permanently records or uploads images.

The exact treatment of frames, screenshots, saved media, analytics, and any optional uploads must be verified against the distributed app version before the operator makes claims about on-device-only processing or non-retention. Denying camera permission can disable these features.

6. Location and Property Information

With appropriate device permission, Safeteed may access location coordinates or approximate location to identify a place, associate a report with a property, or support location-based features. A precise location can reveal sensitive patterns even without your name.

Location information may also arise from an IP address, a location you search for, or details you choose to report. Only enable location access when you are comfortable with the feature's purpose. Device settings may allow you to revoke permission, limit precision, or disable location services.

7. Community Reports and Public Contributions

If a community reporting feature is made available, submitted property names, addresses, locations, report text, device observations, photos, and related information may be processed to review or publish a report. A public report may be viewed, copied, indexed, or shared by others even after the original report is later removed.

Do not include private room numbers, access codes, private contact details, unrelated photographs of people, or allegations you cannot substantiate. Reports may be moderated, corrected, restricted, or deleted under our reporting policies and applicable law.

The public visibility, associated account identifiers, geolocation precision, moderation records, and removal processes must be documented when this feature is actually launched.

8. Messages, Requests, and Support

If you email us, report a problem, request removal of content, or make a privacy request, we may process your email address, name if provided, the contents of your correspondence, attachments, and related metadata. We use these records to respond, investigate, keep appropriate records, and comply with legal duties.

Please do not send passwords, recovery phrases, payment card numbers, sensitive personal records, or unnecessary information about other people.

9. Analytics, Diagnostics, Cookies, and SDKs

Essential technical functions such as web delivery, TLS, server logging, and app connectivity can create operational data. The Services may also use third-party tools for crash reporting, analytics, maps, push notifications, or authentication as features evolve.

We have not independently verified the current production app's entire dependency and SDK data flow. Accordingly, this notice must not be interpreted as a verified statement that no advertising identifiers, cookies, trackers, or third-party SDKs exist. If nonessential tracking is introduced, we will provide any notices and choices required by law and disclose the providers and purposes involved.

10. How Information Is Used

Information processed through the Services may be used to deliver requested scanning or location features, display and review reports, respond to support inquiries, diagnose bugs, prevent abuse, maintain service security, understand aggregate usage, comply with laws, and establish or defend legal claims.

We should not use personal information for unrelated purposes without appropriate notice, consent when required, or another lawful basis. A feature's mere presence does not mean every possible category of information is collected from every user.

11. Disclosures and Service Providers

Information may be accessible to infrastructure and hosting providers, communications providers, app distribution platforms, and service providers performing authorized functions, subject to their roles and agreements. Information may also be disclosed with your direction, to investigate unlawful activity, to respond to lawful process, or when legally required.

Public community submissions may be visible to other users and search engines when publication is part of the feature you elect to use. We do not characterize unverified third-party integrations as absent, and we will update this Policy if advertising, data monetization, or additional sharing practices are adopted.

12. Retention and Deletion

Different types of information may be retained for different periods depending on operation, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, legal obligations, and backup cycles. Aggregated download totals may be retained separately from the web log lines used to calculate them.

If accounts, scan histories, or community reports are offered, the applicable retention, export, and deletion practices should be documented alongside those features. Deleting a public submission may not remove copies made by other users or independent search engines.

Contact us to request removal of personal information where applicable. We may need limited records to comply with law or resolve disputes.

13. Your Controls and Choices

You can use device settings to control location, Bluetooth, camera, and other permissions. You can avoid submitting reports or providing optional data, refrain from installing preview APKs, and stop using the Services.

Revoking a permission can stop future access to that permission, but may not automatically delete data already submitted or lawfully retained. Where we offer accounts or reporting, additional access, correction, and deletion controls may become available.

14. Privacy Rights and Requests

Depending on where you live and the applicability of particular laws, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict some processing; to withdraw consent; or to appeal a privacy decision.

Some US state privacy laws may also provide rights concerning targeted advertising, the sale or sharing of personal information, or certain automated decisions. We will honor applicable rights and provide required opt-out mechanisms if those practices are used.

To make a request, contact us using the address below with enough detail to locate relevant information. We may verify the request and apply lawful exceptions. Do not send unnecessary identity documents until requested through an appropriate secure channel.

15. International Users and Legal Bases

The website is hosted through network infrastructure that may process information in the United States or other jurisdictions. Data-protection requirements may differ by region; where international transfers are regulated, appropriate transfer measures may be required.

Where GDPR or comparable laws apply, relevant processing bases may include providing requested functionality, legitimate interests in security and troubleshooting, compliance with legal duties, and consent where required. The operator must confirm which specific bases, recipients, and transfer safeguards apply before targeting users in those regions.

16. Data Security

We may employ security controls such as HTTPS, access restrictions, and server maintenance to help protect information. No website, wireless scan, app, storage system, or network transmission is perfectly secure.

Do not use the application as a substitute for personal safety measures or professional security advice. Please report suspected security vulnerabilities privately through our contact channel rather than publicly disclosing sensitive details.

17. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not intend to knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. Additional age limits may apply under our Terms or local law.

If you believe a child submitted personal information improperly, contact us so we can review and take any action required by applicable law. Child-related privacy requirements must be reassessed if the product's intended audience changes.

18. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Policy as the Services and their actual information-handling practices evolve. The effective date above indicates the published version. For material changes, we will provide any additional notice or seek consent required by applicable law.

Previous disclosures do not authorize undisclosed new uses of information where additional notice or consent is legally required.

19. Contact and Legal Identity

For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, email the contact listed below. Before public commercial launch, the legal operator must verify a functioning inbox and add its legal name, physical mailing address where required, and any legally required representative or supervisory-authority details.
