1. Agreement and Acceptance

These Terms of Service govern access to the Safeteed website, the Safeteed or Sweeper mobile applications, Android APK downloads, scanning utilities, information, and any related services, features or community reports (collectively, the Services).

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Services after receiving reasonable notice of these Terms, you agree to be bound by them to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Services and uninstall the application.

Where the application offers an acceptance screen, selecting I Agree constitutes affirmative acceptance. Merely placing these Terms on a website does not necessarily establish legally binding consent.

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction to use the Services independently. You represent that you are legally capable of accepting these Terms.

2. Purpose and Technical Limitations

Safeteed is an informational privacy-awareness utility designed to help users inspect aspects of their surroundings. It is not a certified surveillance-detection device, security inspection, professional counter-surveillance service, emergency response tool, or guarantee of privacy or safety.

The Services may use Wi-Fi discovery, Bluetooth scanning, network-service analysis, camera-assisted visual inspection, location awareness, and related techniques. These techniques have inherent and substantial technical limitations.

Surveillance devices may operate offline, record locally, use cellular connections, connect to separate networks, communicate through cables, use unfamiliar protocols, remain outside detection range, or otherwise avoid discovery.

Normal household, commercial, and electronic devices may be incorrectly identified as suspicious. Camera lens reflections may resemble ordinary reflections. Lighting, positioning, device hardware, operating-system restrictions, and environmental conditions affect detection.

No scan, risk assessment, device label, alert, location report, or absence of findings establishes that surveillance equipment is present or absent.

Safeteed cannot determine or guarantee whether a room, building, vehicle, business, or other location is safe, private, secure, monitored, or free from cameras, microphones, or recording equipment.

3. No Safety Guarantee or Certification

The names Safeteed and Sweeper, together with any words implying safety, confidence, protection, or security, are branding and descriptive expressions, not warranties or certifications.

A completed scan does not constitute professional inspection, clearance, certification, verification, or approval of a location.

You must not interpret messages such as no devices found, no suspicious signals, scan completed, or similar results as confirmation that a location is safe or that surveillance is absent.

You acknowledge that undetected surveillance equipment, inaccurate results, and false positives are foreseeable limitations of the technology.

You remain responsible for exercising independent judgment, taking ordinary safety precautions, and obtaining professional assistance when appropriate.

4. Emergency Situations and User Decisions

Safeteed is not an emergency service, forensic investigation service, legal adviser, or law-enforcement agency.

Do not rely on the Services when immediate physical safety is at risk. If you believe you are in danger, leave the location when safe and contact emergency services or appropriate authorities.

Do not confront individuals, trespass, damage property, dismantle equipment, or publicly accuse a person or business solely because of an application result or community report.

You are responsible for your decisions and actions arising from the use or interpretation of information provided by Safeteed.

5. Software License and Ownership

Subject to compliance with these Terms, Safeteed grants you a limited, personal, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to install and use the application on devices you lawfully control.

The application is licensed rather than sold. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by the applicable rights holders.

The Safeteed and Sweeper names, software, interfaces, graphics, source code, trademarks, branding, and other original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Unless expressly permitted by law or an applicable open-source license, you may not sell, sublicense, redistribute modified copies, reverse engineer, circumvent technical restrictions, or commercially exploit the Services without authorization.

Third-party software and open-source components remain subject to their respective licenses.

6. Acceptable and Lawful Use

You may use scanning features only on devices, networks, systems, and locations that you own, control, or have lawful authorization to inspect.

You agree not to use the Services to obtain unauthorized access, intercept communications, collect credentials, stalk or harass individuals, invade privacy, interfere with networks, or violate any applicable law.

You must not use Safeteed to make knowingly false reports, distribute malicious software, conduct unauthorized network probing, scrape private information, or attempt to compromise the Services.

You are responsible for obtaining any legally required permission from property owners, occupants, network operators, and other affected persons.

7. Android Preview Builds and Software Updates

Android APK files offered directly through Safeteed.com may be experimental, incomplete, or prerelease versions of the application.

Preview builds may contain bugs, crashes, inaccurate results, unfinished features, compatibility problems, or security weaknesses.

A direct-download APK is not represented as having been distributed, reviewed, or approved through Google Play.

By choosing to install a preview APK, you acknowledge the risks associated with installing software from outside an official application store.

You are responsible for verifying download sources, protecting your device, maintaining appropriate backups, and applying available operating-system security updates.

Safeteed may change, suspend, discontinue, replace, or withdraw preview versions and application features, subject to applicable law. Continued compatibility and support are not guaranteed.

8. Device Permissions and Compatibility

Some features may require access to Wi-Fi information, Bluetooth functionality, camera hardware, location services, network connections, or other operating-system capabilities.

You control permissions through your device settings. Denying or withdrawing permissions may limit functionality.

The availability and accuracy of features depend on the device manufacturer, operating system, hardware, wireless environment, network configuration, and applicable technical restrictions.

Safeteed does not guarantee compatibility with every device or operating-system version.

9. Community Reports and Location Information

Safeteed may introduce optional community features allowing users to report concerns about hotels, rental properties, rooms, buildings, businesses, or other locations.

Reports, map markers, alerts, and community submissions represent statements or observations supplied by users. They are not necessarily investigated, independently verified, or confirmed by Safeteed.

A report does not establish that a property owner, employee, guest, business, or other individual committed a crime, engaged in misconduct, or installed surveillance equipment.

Reported locations, device classifications, timestamps, observations, and allegations may be inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, mistaken, or misleading.

Safeteed does not endorse community allegations and makes no warranty regarding their truthfulness, reliability, or completeness.

Users must not treat community reports as conclusive evidence of criminal activity or wrongdoing.

10. User Content and Reporting Responsibilities

You are responsible for the information, text, images, locations, descriptions, and other materials you submit.

You represent that submitted information is accurate to the best of your knowledge, lawfully obtained, and does not violate another person's rights.

You must not submit knowingly false accusations, fabricated evidence, defamatory statements, harassment, threats, unlawful content, confidential information, or personal information you are not authorized to disclose.

Opinions and suspicions must not knowingly be presented as verified facts.

You retain ownership of your original content. By submitting content, you grant Safeteed a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, display, format, transmit, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to provide, operate, moderate, and improve the reporting features, subject to applicable law.

You warrant that you possess the rights necessary to grant this license.

Safeteed reserves the right, but does not undertake a general obligation, to review, restrict, edit, remove, preserve, or disable access to submitted content where lawful and appropriate.

11. False Reports, Disputes, and Removal Requests

Individuals, property owners, and businesses who believe a community report is inaccurate, defamatory, unlawfully published, or infringes their rights may request review.

Requests should identify the specific report or location, explain the factual basis for the dispute, and provide an appropriate contact method.

Requests may be directed to the legal contact identified at the end of these Terms.

Safeteed may investigate, request additional information, temporarily restrict a report, correct information, or remove content at its discretion and in accordance with applicable law.

Safeteed does not guarantee a particular review outcome or resolution time.

Copyright complaints should identify the copyrighted work, allegedly infringing material, and basis of the complaint. This reporting channel is not a substitute for any separately required statutory copyright-agent designation.

12. Privacy and Information Security

Features involving networks, nearby devices, camera assistance, location services, and community submissions may implicate personal or sensitive information.

Device permissions do not themselves explain what information is transmitted, stored, retained, or shared.

Safeteed must separately disclose its actual data-handling practices through an accurate Privacy Policy where required. These Terms do not replace that policy.

Users should avoid submitting unnecessary personal or sensitive information about themselves or others.

Although reasonable security measures may be implemented, no electronic system, transmission, storage mechanism, or application can be guaranteed completely secure.

13. Third-Party Technologies and Services

The Services may rely on operating systems, device manufacturers, wireless networks, external APIs, geolocation providers, application stores, and other third-party technologies.

Safeteed does not control third-party operations, availability, security, accuracy, policies, or performance.

Third-party terms may apply independently.

Apple, Google, and other distribution platforms are not responsible for Safeteed product support or warranties except to the extent required by their applicable agreements or law.

14. Payments, Subscriptions, and Refunds

Access to the current website or freely distributed preview software does not create a paid subscription or recurring payment obligation.

If paid features or subscriptions become available, applicable prices, billing intervals, renewal conditions, cancellation methods, taxes, and refund rules must be disclosed before purchase.

Future payments may be processed by application stores or other payment providers under their respective terms.

Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory refund, cancellation, warranty, or consumer-protection rights.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICES, APPLICATIONS, APK FILES, RESULTS, REPORTS, AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE.

SAFETEED DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, SECURITY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION, TO THE EXTENT SUCH DISCLAIMERS ARE PERMITTED BY LAW.

SAFETEED DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APPLICATION WILL IDENTIFY ANY PARTICULAR CAMERA, MICROPHONE, RECORDING DEVICE, SIGNAL, NETWORK EQUIPMENT, OR SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM.

SAFETEED DOES NOT WARRANT THAT A LOCATION IS SAFE, SECURE, PRIVATE, OR FREE FROM SURVEILLANCE.

Applicable statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SAFETEED AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, DEVELOPERS, AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE SERVICES.

THIS INCLUDES, TO THE EXTENT LAWFULLY EXCLUDABLE, LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF OPPORTUNITY, REPUTATIONAL DAMAGE, OR LOSSES ARISING FROM INACCURATE OR INCOMPLETE SCANNING RESULTS OR THIRD-PARTY REPORTS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THEIR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT PAID DIRECTLY TO SAFETEED FOR THE SERVICES DURING THE PRECEDING TWELVE MONTHS OR ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS.

THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW AND DO NOT EXCLUDE LIABILITY OR LEGAL RIGHTS THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED, INCLUDING APPLICABLE RIGHTS CONCERNING FRAUD, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, PERSONAL INJURY, OR MANDATORY CONSUMER PROTECTIONS.

17. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Safeteed and its owners, operators, developers, affiliates, and service providers against third-party claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable legal expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your infringement of third-party rights, or content you submit in violation of these Terms.

This provision does not require indemnification for Safeteed's own wrongful conduct where such indemnification is prohibited by law.

Safeteed will provide reasonable notice of a covered claim where practicable.

18. Suspension and Termination

Safeteed may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Services for violations of these Terms, security risks, legal requirements, misuse, or discontinuation of a feature, subject to applicable law.

You may discontinue use and uninstall the application at any time.

Provisions concerning intellectual property, accrued obligations, content rights where applicable, disclaimers, liability limitations, dispute resolution, and indemnification survive termination to the extent legally permissible.

19. Changes to Terms and Services

Safeteed may revise these Terms to reflect changes in its technology, features, business operations, or legal obligations.

Revised Terms will be published at this URL with an updated effective date.

Where material changes require additional notice or affirmative consent under applicable law, Safeteed will provide such notice or obtain such consent before applying them.

No announcement, demonstration, roadmap, preview, or marketing statement guarantees that any future feature or product will be released.

20. Governing Law and Disputes

To the extent permitted by law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Disputes may be brought in courts with appropriate jurisdiction in Ada County, Idaho, subject to mandatory consumer venue rules and other non-waivable rights.

Before initiating formal proceedings, users are encouraged to contact Safeteed and describe their concerns so that an informal resolution may be considered.

Nothing in these Terms eliminates legal protections that cannot be waived under applicable law.

If a provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain effective to the extent permitted by law.

21. General Provisions

Failure by Safeteed to enforce a provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

These Terms do not create a partnership, employment, agency, or fiduciary relationship between users and Safeteed.

You may not transfer your rights or obligations without permission except where permitted by law.

Safeteed may transfer applicable rights and obligations in connection with a lawful business reorganization or sale, subject to applicable law.

These Terms, together with applicable additional agreements or notices validly accepted by users, constitute the agreement governing the relevant Services.

22. Legal Contact

For questions concerning these Terms, legal notices, intellectual-property complaints, or requests for review of community reports, contact the operator through the email address below.
